MonaLisa Twins is an Austrian duo composed of Mona Wagner and her twin sister, wait for it…Lisa Wagner whose parents clearly had an odd sense of humor when naming their daughters.  Multi instrumentalists, Mona plays rhythm guitar, percussion, harmonica, and flute while Lisa plays lead guitar, ukulele, and cello and together they create some fine harmonies.

MonaLisa Twins have recorded a three Beatles cover albums and currently reside in Liverpool where they had an extended residency at the legendary Cavern Club, the venue where Brian Epstein discovered the Beatles.  

The Twins music is arranged and produced by Rudolf Wagner, a similar last name because he is their father, and so she doesn’t feel left out, their stepmother Michaela Wagner is their manager

If this starts to sound made up, it really isn't.

The twins also cover Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel, the Lovin Spoonful, Stealers Wheel, the Kinks and many other 60s artists.  MonaLisa Twins have ten albums which include not only covers but some of their own original songs.

Stay safe and well…and I guess if Mr. Wagner had been a fan of painter James McNeil Whistler instead of DaVinci, the twins could have been named Whistler and Mother.
