Monday August 31, 2020 “History of the Beatles in Four Minutes” Walk off the Earth
Something a little different today.
While doing some research and I ran across this video by a group that, shame on me, I had never heard of but was intrigued by the suggestion that there could be a musical history of the most prolific group ever and all in four minutes...it’s actually longer but who counts minutes when you are listening to the Beatles.
Harry Nilsson did a version of this way back with his “You Can’t Do That” where he name checked fifteen plus Beatle songs/lyrics, but Walk Off the Earth takes it to a whole new level. Great singing and playing and excellent production values and just so well done.
Apparently this band is popular in Canada and has an entire catalog of covers including Adele, Maroon 5, Wiz Khalifa, Gotye, Outcast, Pharell, Ed Sheeran and even AC/DC as well as a bunch of original tunes. You might want to check them out. In the meantime enjoy this fun cover of Beatles tunes 1962-1970, a small reminder of just what brilliant songwriters those Lennon/McCartney guys were.
Just too many lyrics to try to include so just sit back and enjoy the video.
Stay safe and well...and these guys do some really fun creative stuff.
