Monday December 27, 2021 “Private Lives” Low Cut Connie

Low Cut Connie, Adam Weiner, is on the Best of 2021 list because beyond some excellent new music that he introduced us to, he took us through a difficult year with a regular Saturday Night streaming show where he demonstrated a remarkable depth of musical knowledge, some gleeful insanity and the ability to play and sing more songs than we have on our song of the day list.

But more importantly he created a community of folks working their way through an unprecedented time and empathized with them while providing an island of entertainment and a wild and weird variety of music, all enthusiastically well played.

He would constantly tell his viewers “I love you so much” and as corny as that may sound in print his sincerity would override any cynicism that we might have had…and we believed him.  Some of these one hundred plus shows are available on YouTube and if you haven’t already experienced LCC I’m pretty sure you will find them entertaining, filled with music, interviews, information and fun.  There is some language in the shows that may not be appropriate for kids.

Here is LCC with the song that introduced them to us, “Private Lives”.

Stay safe and well…and ‘mazeltov…’ as Adam Weiner would say with an alliterative addition that cannot be reprinted here.

Life is strange and you do what ya gotta do just to survive

You got your hustle and you gotta know that baby, I got mine

Would it make you cry if you knew about the things

That you couldn’t let slide? Are you scandalized?

'Cause you know that I’m edging it on the sly

TT’s a nanny but she moves a little weed on the side

Jimmy paints houses, who the hell knows what goes on when they dry

On Friday nights, we get together

And we talk about this crazy life, are you scandalized?

'Cause you know that once in a while we get undignified

 In our private lives

In our private lives

 That’s the way we live

Don’t dwell on it

At the end of the day

We got love to give

That's the way we live

Don't dwell on this
