Friday February 12, 2021 “So Into You” Atlanta Rhythm Section
Adoration summed up simply right there in the title of this tune.
The Atlanta Rhythm Section was formed out of two previous bands, The Candymen, who frequently backed the late Roy Orbison on recordings and tours and the Classics IV who had top ten hits with “Spooky”, “Stormy” and ”Traces” the latter of which could have been included in our Valentine’s mixtape, but it was antithetical to our love story mixtape.
ARS had more of a regional following in the south, being credited as one of the originators of Southern Rock, but they did have a couple of breakthrough international hits with today's “So Into You” and “Imaginary Lover” which wasn’t suitable for our mixtape purposes unless you are dating “Eddie” from Eddie & the Hot Rods... you have to keep following these songs.
So we have a really cool tune here with a lovely valentine sentiment.
Stay safe and well...and I am so into you. Not sure but I think these lines are still working.
