Saturday November 7, 2020 “Your Life is Now” John Mellencamp
We have come to the end of “Rock & Roll Life Lessons 101” fellow students so it’s time to review what rock & roll has taught us about what life is.
I think it’s safe to say that these rock stars and their songs have held tight to the truth that they really don’t know any better or any more than we do. They’re singers and musicians, so let’s accept that what they do is give us some fine songs that we can enjoy and sing along with, and that’s a good thing.
But I leave you with this one final piece of possible advice from John Mellencamp which seems oddly appropriate to me.
What is life? It really is a mystery and we are all left to search for our own meaning and find fulfillment in what we do, pictures that we might take, things that we might build, poems that we might write, paintings we might create, lessons we might teach, songs we might sing, stories we might tell, all that we might leave behind.
But the simple truth is that your life is now.
Stay safe and well...and be sure that you are in the ‘now’ of your own life.
