Thursday February 25, 2021 “The Weight” Playing for Change/Behind the Scenes (Part 1/Part 2)
Heard from a number of the song of the dayers about the Playing for Change video of the Band’s song “The Weight” from the other day, all very positive and the consistent comment after an appreciation of the many talented singers and musicians seemed to relate to the extensive coordination and production that went into creating this meticulous, perfectly edited disparate group into one cohesive song.
Well, another one of my favorite song of the dayers sent a link to a “behind the scenes” series of short videos which address how the project came together and they are definitely worth viewing so here are the links (and you get to meet Robbie Robertson's son).
To paraphrase producer Mark Johnson at the end piece in the first video, no matter how many things divide us, they will never be as strong as the power of music to bring us together. Enjoy.
