Sunday September 18, 2022 “Until I Found You” Stephen Sanchez

I came across this lovely but unfamiliar-to-me tune on the radio recently.  What a wonderful resource the radio can be, exposing us to songs we may otherwise never hear.

In June 2020, Stephen Sanchez posted a cover of Cage the Elephant's "Cigarette Daydreams" on TikTok and he built an audience through a steady stream of content, attracting over 122K followers on TikTok.

After Sanchez shared a snippet of "Lady by the Sea", singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker reached out and offered to produce the official version, which was released in July 2020 and resulted in Sanchez signing a deal with Republic Records. Sanchez worked with producer Ian Fitchuk on his debut EP What Was, Not Now which was released in October 2021.

Not a great deal more to tell you about this young artist except that for me this is a sweet, memorable tune.

Stay safe and well…and if you enjoy this tune, Sanchez, a young man who songs seem to suggest musically that he is in the throes of love, has a handful of additional related songs that you might want to check out.

Georgia, wrap me up in all your-

I want you in my arms

Oh, let me hold you

I'll never let you go again like I did

Oh, I used to say

"I would never fall in love again until I found her"

I said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into"

I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her

I found you

Georgia, pulled me in

I asked to love her once again

You fell, I caught you

I'll never let you go again like I did

Oh, I used to say

"I would never fall in love again until I found her"

I said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into"

I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her

I found you

I would never fall in love again until I found her

I said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into"

I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her

I found you
