Friday July 17, 2020 “Fire” Arthur Brown

It’s frivolous Friday and I bring you the 'god of hellfire.'

This delightful, romantic piece of music written by Arthur Brown and Vincent Crane was produced by Pete Townsend of The Who on a record label started by Kit Lambert, who also managed The Who.

Arthur Brown and his Crazy World never had another commercially successful record but he has been credited as the inspiration for many heavy metal and theatrical rock groups, which you will immediately appreciate upon viewing the video.

He would go on to get a masters in counseling, although I am not sure he would be my first choice for any required guidance.

Stay safe and well...and please do watch the video.  If you are thinking Alice Cooper, well Arthur Brown came first.

I am the god of hell fire and I bring you fire.

Fire

I'll take you to burn

Fire

I'll take you to learn

I'll see you burn!

You fought hard and you saved and learned

but all of it's going to burn

And your mind

Your tiny mind

You know you've really been so blind

Now's your time burn your mind

You're falling far too far behind

Oh no

Oh no

Oh no

You gonna burn!

Fire

To destroy all you've done

Fire

To end all you've become

I'll feel your burn!

You've been living like a little girl

In the middle of your little world

And your mind

Your tiny mind

You know you've really been so blind

Now's your time burn your mind

You're falling far too far behind

Fire

I'll take you to burn

Fire

I'll take you to learn

You gonna burn, burn, burn

Fire

I'll take you to burn
