Saturday August 21, 2021 “Airplane” Widespread Panic
Our last festival is the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival which is an annual four-day music event starting on the second Thursday of June, developed and produced by Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment. Since its first year in 2002, it has been held at what is now Great Stage Park on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee.
Main attractions of this festival are the multiple stages featuring live music with a diverse array of musical styles including indie rock, classic rock, world music, hip hop, jazz, Americana, bluegrass, country music, folk, gospel, reggae, pop, electronic, and other alternative music. And unlike many previous festivals Bonnaroo (Creole slang for ‘a really good time”) is run well and appears to be quite profitable.
In its inaugural year the artists included Widespread Panic, Government Mule, Ween, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Phil Lesh & Friends, Norah Jones, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and many others.
Let’s slip onto an airplane with Widespread Panic from the first Coachella Festival.
Stay safe and well...and maybe a festival isn’t in your plans this summer but do get out and see some live music, it’s so good for the soul.
