Sunday June 13, 2021 “Without Her” Nilsson

Harry had a big hit with the Badfinger song “Without You” and he stayed with the theme to write and record this lovely song.

The Beatles were big fans of Nilsson and he was with them individually and as a group so frequently that there were rumors that he might be joining the group which obviously never happened.

Harry Nilsson had amazing skill as a songwriter crafting tunes that often defied categorization and his reluctance to tour or perform live would add to preventing him from having the successes that he deserved.  He also had a great voice with a remarkable range.  He scorecore a couple of Grammys, ironically neither of which were songs he wrote.

Harry’s birthday would have been June 15 but he suffered a massive heart attack at age 52.
