Wednesday September 9, 2020 “Walk Away” James Gang

Remember when we were all young.

Here’s cousin Joe Walsh (not really) as a young man in 1971 with his first band the James Gang (actually he had a prior association with The Measles but who ever heard of them).  This of course was before he was Joe Walsh the solo artist and before he became an Eagle.

Walsh started out as a saxophone player but he wanted to be the singer in a rock band and figured logically that he couldn't sing while he was playing the saxophone so he switched to guitar.
He of course would go on to become one of the great guitar talents as recognized by several of his rock legend peers:

"He's one of the best guitarists to surface in some time. I don't listen to many records, but I listen to his." Eric Clapton

"Joe Walsh is a fluid and intelligent player. There're not many like that around." Pete Townsend

"He has a tremendous feel for the instrument. I've loved his style since the early James Gang.", Jimmy Page

He has a fascination with amatuer radio and holds an Amatuer Extra Class license (WB6ACU), is an active philanthropist, ran for president in 1980, is an in demand studio musician and is Ringo Starr’s brother-in-law.

Stay safe and well...and it seems to me we should always talk about it.

Takin' my time

Choosin' my lines

Tryin' to decide what to do

Looks like my stop

Don't want to get off

Got myself hung up on you

 Seems to me

You don't want to talk about it

Seems to me

You just turn your pretty head and walk away

 Places I've known

Things that I'm growin'

Don't taste the same without you

I got my self in

The worst mess I've been

And I find myself starvin' without you

 Seems to me

Talk all night here comes the mornin'

Seems to me

You just forget what we said and greet the day

 Seems to me

You don't want to talk about it

Seems to me

You just turn your pretty head and walk away

I've got to cool myself down

Stompin' around

Thinkin' some words I can't name ya

Meet you half way

Got nothing to say

Still I don't suppose I can blame ya

 Seems to me

You don't want to talk about it

Seems to me

You just turn your pretty head and walk away

 Walk away
